A little local knowledge
goes a long way.
From the east end and Grand Lagoon to the Gulf beaches, there’s plenty to explore. Start here, then follow the local links for current hours, conditions and access.
ARRIVAL & GETTING AROUND
Getting to the coast.
Flying in? Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) serves the Panama City area. Compare flight schedules and ground transportation before choosing your arrival day; the airport’s guide lists transportation options.
If you’re driving, use the address on your confirmation and allow time for traffic, stops and check-in. Your arrival message contains the details for your specific home.
SAND, WATER & WILD PLACES
Find your beach day.
Choose a public beach access, spend time at St. Andrews State Park, or plan a boat trip to Shell Island. The homes are on the east end; beach access is off-property. Parking, park fees, accessibility and available facilities vary by location.
Shell Island is reached by boat. Check the park’s current shuttle information, weather and operating schedule before you go, and bring water and what you need for the day.
BEFORE YOU STEP INTO THE WATER
Know the flags.
Conditions can change throughout the day. Double red flags mean the water is closed to the public; a single red means high hazard, yellow means medium hazard, green means low hazard, and purple warns of dangerous marine life. Low hazard does not mean no hazard.
Check the flags at your beach, follow lifeguard instructions, and review the city’s guidance on rip currents. The city offers flag alerts: text PCBFLAGS to 888777. Take belongings and trash with you and leave dunes and wildlife undisturbed.
A GETAWAY WITH YOUR DOG
Bring your best friend.
Our homes welcome approved pets; include your pet in your booking and review the applicable fee and terms before reserving. For a beach outing, Panama City Beach designates Dog Beach west of Russell-Fields City Pier. Check the rules for the exact location you plan to visit, including state parks and other beaches.
EAT, EXPLORE, REPEAT
Make the days your own.
Start with a leisurely breakfast, find seafood near the water, or make dinner at home after a beach day. Our dining guide gathers a few local options; check each restaurant’s current hours and menus before heading out.
For time away from the sand, explore St. Andrews State Park, browse Pier Park, or choose an indoor outing at WonderWorks. Ashley’s Emerald Pearl Photography offers another way to remember your trip—ask about availability and details.
